This wine is made up of grapes selected from several different parcels of vines in order to guarantee consistent quality each year. It has a good ageing potential.

Press review
    • Corton Grand Cru "Domaine Latour" 2021 - Tim Atkin - February 2023 - 95/100

This is an assemblage of Corton terroirs: Grèves, Perrières, Clos du Roi, Bressandes and Chaumes. Save the last, which looks southeast, these face due east. This youthful, dark wine exudes an earthy minerality and pairs this overarching character with intense layers of plums, cherries and blackberries. There is tangy verve to rein in the dense fruit core and nicely finessed tannins, too.

    • Corton Grand Cru Domaine Latour 2021 - James Suckling - July 2023 - 94/100

Lovely rich nose with stacks of wild blackberries with notes of smoke and mint. For a youthful Grand Cru red Burgundy this is approachable with plenty of gentle tannins underlining the complex aromas on the full-bodied palate. A little firm in the finish, but you can still drink this right away. Drink or hold.

    • Corton Grand Cru "Domaine Latour" 2021 - Wine Spectator - 93/100

A tightly structured red, with cherry, currant, earth and tomato leaf flavors locked in the grip of dusty tannins. Though lean and stingy today, this version's length reveals promising potential in 10 to 15 years. Best from 2027 through 2045. (USA, January 2024)

    • Corton Grand Cru "Domaine Latour" 2021 - Wine Advocate - USA - 91-93/100

The 2021 Corton Grand Cru "Domaine Latour" offers up aromas of spiced plums, red berries, peonies and sweet forest floor, followed by a full-bodied, ample and fleshy palate that's impressively deep and layered, with supple tannins and the seamless, giving profile that's the theme chez Latour this year.

    • Corton Grand Cru "Domaine Latour" 2021 - Bill Nanson Burgundy Report - January 2023

Airy, open, precise and pretty red fruits. Lots of scale to this mouth-filling wine. Open, but with silk rather than overt structure, floral inflected. A rather elegant Corton Grand Cru - more a 1er cru weight but deliciously complex - yum!  The only cuvée, so no Vigne au Saint or Corton-Grancy in this vintage as the volumes were so low. Bottled last week.

    • Corton Grand Cru Domaine Latour 2018 - 93 pts - Wine Spectator May 2021

This red is rich and broad, with nicely focused black cherry, blackberry, earth and toasty oak flavors. It's bright, and the dusty tannins are embedded in its fleshy texture. Fine length. Best from 2023 through 2038. — BS

    • Corton Grand Cru "Domaine Latour" 2017 - Wine Spectator - March 2020 - 94/100

A smoky red, infused wich notes of autumn woods and herbs, featuring acore of strawberry and wild cherry f1avors. Silky in tcxture and balanced, ending with a long, tightly wound and minerally finish. A serious version that needs cime and will repay cellaring. Best from 2022 through 2040. 400 cases imporced. - Bruce Sanderson (USA)

    • Corton Grand Cru "Domaine Latour" 2015 - Wine Spectator Insider - August 2017 - 93/100

Leans toward the exotic side, with cherry jam, blackberry, earth and spice flavors permeating dense tannins. Feels burly, with a core of ripe, saturated fruit. Best from 2022 through 2040.-B.S. - USA

    • Corton Grand Cru 2014 - Neil Cammies - U.K - October 2019Hewn from old vines and natural in its approach, avoiding pesticides in its production. Black cherry fruit aromas from the glass have a little floral prettiness to them. In the mouth the old-school style shows the tannins slightly before the fruit opens up in the glass to reveal a savoury tone and a smidge of acidity through the mid-palate.
    • Corton Grand Cru "Domaine Latour" 2012 - Wine Spectator Insider - April 2015 - 94/100The cherry, liquorice, sandalwood and mineral notes are elegantly displayed in this rich, harmonious red. Flows almost seamlessly now, with a chalky feel on the long finish the only trace of youthfulness. Fine lenght. Best from 2020 through 2035.
    • Corton Grand Cru "Domaine Latour" 2011 - Wine Spectator Insider - April 2014 - 92/100Rich and rangy, with cherry and spice flavors filling the broad profile. Ample acidity and tannins shore up this version, leading to a slightly compact finish. Fine length. Best from 2016 through 2028. (USA)
    • Corton Grand Cru "Domaine Latour" 2010 - Wine Spectator - October 2013 - 90/100Shy on fruit, this shows a density and sweetness in the center that bodes well for the future. Best from 2016 through 2026.
    • Corton Grand Cru "Domaine Latour" 2009 - Wine Spectator - February 2012 - 90/100A big, ripe, juicy red, full of cherry, currant and spice notes. This quickly turns firm, clamping down on the burly finish. Typical for this appellation, but less charming for the vintage. Be patient. Best from 2014 through 2026. (USA)
    • Corton Grand Cru "Domaine Latour" 2008 - Wine Spectator - April 2011 - 90/100With its mix of cherry, strawberry and a touch of herbs, this red offers bright flavors matched to a juicy profile. This is open and approachable now, but should develop over the medium term. Fine length. Drink now through 2022.
    • Corton Grand Cru "Domaine Latour" 2007 - Wine Spectator - March 2010 - 92/100Tightly wound now, this red shows density to its wild berry and cherry flavors, with a streak of mineral and fine length. There's a latent sweetness that offsets the firm, tensile structure, but this needs time to come together. Best from 2012 trhough 2022. By Bruce Sanderson, USA.
    • Corton Grand Cru "Domaine Latour" 2007 - Burghound.com - April 2009 - 90/100Light ruby. An interesting if not overly complex nose of red and black cherry with earth nuances make for a less than dramatic introduction to the round, easy, forward and supple flavors that are also on the light side though the finish tightens up enough to suggest that cellar time is definitely needed. Moreover, the finish offers much better depth than can be found on the nose. In sum, this isn't a bad wine so much as it's not very typical by the standards of what one expects from a classic Corton. 2014+. By Allen Meadows (USA).

    • 1996 Corton Grand Cru "Domaine Latour" - Wine Advocate - 86-88 points :The bright ruby/purple-colored Corton, produced from vineyards owned by this old, Beaune-based house, offers blackberries and blueberries in the nose and a beautiful ripe, medium-bodied, and silky core of black cherries and cassis. This well-crafted wine should be at its peak between 1999 and 2004.
