- Typicity is of great importance for this wine. It is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes from the lesser-known yet well placed vineyards of the southern Côte-d'Or, harmoniously united with small parcels of superior Santenay or Auxey-Duresses grapes. This gives an overall result startlingly reminiscent of a fine Côte de Beaune wine.

This should drink well on the early side and it's agreeably delicious already. 2008+
- 2003 Bourgogne Rouge - Wine Spectator - May 31st, 2006 - 86 points :A supple, fleshy red, sporting cherry, spice and earth notes. It gets a lift from the fine tannins, ending with a tealike aftertaste. Dink now through 2010.
- 2003 Bourgogne Rouge - Burghound.com - April 2005 - 84 points :(Entirely from Côte d'Or grapes). Quite ripe aromatically but obviouly a pinot-based wine with rich, round and sweet flavors that are approachable now but should improve for a year or two. A delicious effort. 84/now+
